Born in Maine, I moved with my family to Montpelier when I was 1 1/2 years old, in 1956. I have always loved photography. My father gave me his Argus rangefinder when I was a teenager and I loved experimenting with the settings. I am retired from the field of elementary education and still play piano and sing out in public and for the past few years have been making and painting kites: kitesbyjim.com
